Bike or Body
Rain covers for bicycles and motorbikes can be seen as everyday sculptures. Their shapes suggest something familiar, yet what appears to be hidden underneath is not always what is expected. This project explores that ambiguity by mimicking the form of a rain cover with the human body, playing with assumptions about what may be concealed beneath the surface.
Presented as an interactive game on Instagram, viewers were invited to guess whether a bicycle was hidden under the cover or whether it was a person. Through this playful intervention, the work challenges habits of perception and encourages a reconsideration of the relationship between form and content, transforming an ordinary urban object into a surprising artistic encounter. The project also includes a Bike or Body edition: a series of lenticular postcards that reveal either the rain cover or the body depending on the viewing angle. These editions were published as part of the THE CITY IS OURS #6 magazine.
